Concept of Fairness

In 1990 I was asked to participate in a debate about fairness in museums for the American Association of museums.  My second was Joallyn Archambault who was director of the American Indian Program at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution at the time.  In the opposition was Brett Waller, Director (then) of the Indianapolis Museum of Art and seconded by Katherine Le Reid, director (then) of the Virginia Museum of Art.  Unfortunately I do not have their remarks.  A formal debate at the American Association of Museums conference is a too rare event.  It was an interesting format to think about.
